Artist

Soham Rasam works with architecture as a language of relationships. His practice moves between space, form and the conditions that allow either to emerge. He authors systems that remain open to intervention: a rule can be held, a relation can shift, an object can become otherwise. In The Digital Object, the space of making is itself the artwork. Its visitors do not arrive at a single prescribed image. They enter a grammar, alter its conditions and encounter a form that carries the trace of those choices. The work continues through this exchange between an authored structure and the freedom to act within it.

Work

Reality is still becoming. This work begins with a simple proposition: form is a consequence of relationships. Space, mass and atmosphere meet within one shared grammar. The visitor changes a condition; the object answers in geometry. Another choice makes another possibility visible. A seed holds chance in place, allowing a moment to be revisited, shared or placed into the surrounding world. The snowflake offers an underlying analogy: common principles, many outcomes. Here, architecture becomes an instrument rather than a finished building. The artwork lives in that instrument, in the forms it permits, and in the encounter between a visitor and what becomes.
